Practical Atheism

We think of independence as the Great American Dream, where our goal is independence and self-reliance. This isn’t new. It’s just age-old low-grade arrogance wrapped up in practical atheism. A Godly life seeks God’s glory as the aim of every decision. Work and career are a function of our place in the body of Christ, where we are stewards of everything God blesses us. The longer we live, the more excellent the opportunity to live a life of service expressed in love toward Him and other people.
