Time Off Reminders
*All of this is outlined in the handbook.
For full-time employees:
A full day off is 8.0 hours in our system, and a half day is 4.0 hours. The hours simply represent the day. I know some of you have days where you work more hours and others where you work fewer, but when taking a full day off, always enter 8.0 hours. This also applies to those who work on Sundays. Even if you’re not here a full eight hours, that Sunday is still considered a full day.
For part-time employees:
A full day off is typically calculated by dividing your weekly hours by five. For example, if you work 20 hours per week, a full day off would be 4.0 hours when submitting a vacation request.
Mission trips:
All employees at Faith Bible Church are allowed up to five days off per year to participate in one of our mission trips. You may not see this as an option available to you in ESelfserve, but we can add the time when requested. The primary goal is to allow time for one trip. Some trips require additional days, and those can be considered for approval when requested. Any additional mission trips beyond that will need to use vacation time.
