Please Pray For...
- Our VisionTrust Director in the DR, Mariluz. Pray for her blood pressure to stabilize so that she can have a long-awaited surgery on her leg
- Our local missions partners, especially as this time of the year is a major fundraising opportunity
- Our global missions partners as they serve faithfully on the mission field
- Our 2023 mission trips as they are currently forming. Please pray for the workers to rise up and for provision for all who wish to go and serve.
- Shari as she has been ordered to leave her missions ministry location (for 23 years) because of unrest. May the Lord guide her with His wisdom on where to serve next
- Our Ukrainian women's Bible study. Please pray for hearts to be open and lives to be changed.
- Our three Dominican Republic mission trips:
- June 10-17: This team will lead VBS for the children at the VisionTrust Learning Center in Santo Domingo.

GET TO KNOW RUSSELL JOHNSON
|
|
About Russell Johnson
Russell Johnson and his wife Terri have been married for 24 years. They met at Hardin-Simmons University, and Russell is also a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary. Russell and Terri have five children, Milton (12th grade), Caleb (10th grade), Noel (8th grade), and twins Kenneth and Douglas (5th grade).
Russell and Terri love watching their kids' activities, from ball games to choir concerts. If Russell is not in the stands watching or on the bench coaching, you can find him in a deer blind or on the couch cheering on the Dallas Cowboys! As native Texans, you can probably guess that Russell and Terri also love good BBQ Brisket.
Russell is called by God to preach His Word first and foremost. Preaching and teaching God's word is a weighty task, and it is one that he does not take lightly. Along with preaching, Russell feels called to shepherd people through their highest highs and their lowest lows. Russell believes greater joy comes from watching someone apply God's Word and seeing their life changed.

March Giving Challenge
Although we are excited about the current season of Faith Bible Church, we are also dealing with a difficult financial season. Our amazing ministry leaders have worked hard to cut their budgets for the next operating year; however, inflation has still increased our overall budget by a significant amount.
Instead of making drastic changes with ministry budgets or personnel, we have decided to move forward in faith, asking the church to step up so we can continue the exciting ministry work God has called us to do. For the remainder of this month, we are going to challenge our church in three areas:
1. Start Giving - If you are not currently giving financially, please pray about stepping out in faith and starting to give.
2. Give a One-Time Gift - Pray about giving a one-time gift in March to help us meet the current budget deficit.
3. Increase Recurring Gift - If you are currently giving, please pray about increasing your recurring gift for the next fiscal year.
You can participate in the March Giving Challenge by giving online with Pushpay or by placing cash or checks in the boxes near the doors on the inside of the Worship Center. We can't wait to see how God will provide through your generosity!

Easter at Faith Bible
We look forward to praising Jesus for entering our lives, sacrificing His life on our behalf, and defeating sin and death forevermore. Our Good Friday service will take place on April 7 at 7pm, and we will have three identical Easter Sunday services on April 9 at 8am, 9:30am, and 11am. In between services, you and your family can enjoy an egg hunt, free coffee, and photo opportunities. Please note, nursery care for 0-3 years will be available on Easter and Good Friday, but there will be no adult, student, or kids programming. We encourage you to bring your children to our family-friendly service!

How to Survive and Prosper During Inflationary Times
Inflation is at one of the highest points in the last 40 years. What is inflation, why does it happen, and how long will it last? We will discuss the cause and effect of inflation, and the management of resources to survive and prosper during uncertain economic times, such as the ones we are currently experiencing. Join us for this important conversation this evening, Sunday, March 26 from 5-6:30pm in the multi-purpose room (next to the gym). Childcare is available with registration, and hors d'oeuvres will be served.

Men's Disciple-Making Small Groups

Child Dedication
As a church, we want to love children on His behalf, and to come alongside parents to support and equip them to be the spiritual leader in their home. Child Dedication is a public declaration of parents who commit to raising their child in a Christian home and making church a priority in their child's life. Our next child dedication will be on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 14, during both services. We'd love for your family to be a part of it!
