Meet DD Zhu Lopez

Hi Faith Bible Church family, I am DD. It’s never too late to believe in Jesus. No matter you are four or forty. That’s me, I became a believer when I was 40. That was an interesting chance. Because the reason for me to join a small group — called Bridges — was to meet new friends. However, this decision shifted my view to see this world.

My husband Jose, who is a Christian, grew up in a religious family. But somehow his life scope drifted him away from the Lord.

Last summer, Jose lost his job in a devastating way. He lost his confidence, his hope, his trust. He said whatever he prayed just went to the opposite side. His face was full of fear, doubt, and desperation. Our life was hanging there, counting the days.

I have never prayed so hard. I told Jose firmly, “you have to trust in Him, He will help us!” with my pointing finger pointing towards above. And the next thing I remembered was the true smile on my husband’s face again. I saw the very confident man I knew from the beginning back to me again. I think that’s what we call “the domestic bliss”.

In the Bridges class, we talked about how tough times can draw us closer to God. Our Lord doesn’t give up on us. And after the bitter times, grace remains. We are all living in this world receiving His free Grace. What we need to do is put our faith in Him.

I once joked with Jose, saying “Look! How amazing God’s plan is. In order to call you back to Him, He found a way to bring me in, because He knows I will bring you back to Him again.”

Thank you Lord, for Your Grace, Your mercy and Your Love. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.
