Meet Jacob Fehrle
Meet Jacob Fehrle
My name is Jacob Fehrle. I am eleven years old and in the sixth grade. I have one sister named Abigail. She is four years older than me but I’m taller than her. We have two dogs and two cats. I play the cello and do karate. I like to spend my free time playing video games or going to our ranch to check on the cows where I drive around in our off-road vehicle. I also enjoy listening to Christian music. My favorite group is For King & Country.
My family and I have been at Faith Bible for seven years. Several months after we came to Faith Bible, my dad started serving on the Flow Team, driving a golf cart around the parking lot. I enjoyed riding along with him to greet everyone and give families a ride to the door. When my dad serves as Deacon on duty, I like to help him pour out and wash the coffee pots.
I accepted Jesus when I was in second grade and was baptized. I was excited to join Core Team 6 when I entered sixth grade so I could learn about all the different ways I can serve in the children’s ministry at our church. I especially enjoy leading the worship and helping in the preschool area. I was nervous about leading the worship and being in front of my peers doing the hand motions, but God gave me the courage I needed. I ended up really enjoying leading worship, and I like talking with the preschoolers when I serve.
One of my favorite things this year was getting to serve as “Pastor for the Day.” I got to be Mrs. Candy and follow her around all morning. I was given an official name tag and everything. On that day, the air conditioner went out in the preschool area, so Mrs. Candy and I had to put out fans downstairs. Serving in the church has encouraged me to grow in my relationship with God and pray more.
